Obamacare kicks in

Officially Obama care went into effect on July 1.

The legislation begins with a 10% Tax that tanning salons must charge their customers (yea that should be good for business). more info here

I can feel the noose tightening around my neck!! Yesterday the company I work for sent out a survey about our benefits and healthcare. They asked which aspects of the medical, 401k, and life insurance plans were most important to me. (Yikes!)

This is a signal that they are going to start cutting benefits or raising costs.

My biggest fear is that our company will dump our medical/dental/vision insurance coverage. it's much cheaper for them to pay the fines in the legislation than to pay for the cost of providing the benefits.

Pucker up it's going to be a long ride!
