Rapid Fire BBQ and Candidate Forum -- July 10th 3pm - 8pm

Postby LadyPixieinGa » 10 Jun 2010 07:53

UPDATED 6/27/10

The summer primaries are just around the corner. We have all seen the signs on the road, listened to the candidates speak and been to many tea parties and debates. Now, come and speak to them one-on-one. Get the answers to YOUR questions!

The candidates will be meeting, greeting and eating the entire four hours. When they are not on stage answering rapid fire questions, they will be mingling with the crowd and trying to earn your vote.

Join North Georgia 912 as we host our 2nd Annual BBQ and Hold Our Candidates' Feet to the Fire with our FIRST Rapid Fire Candidate Forum.

July 10th 3-8pm
Bogan Park
2723 North Bogan Road
Buford, GA 30519

We have over 25 confirmed candidates running for various local, state and federal offices. Full listing of candidates is below.

Tickets will be available online and at the BBQ. Tickets are $10 for all you can eat bbq. We are asking that you bring a side item or a dessert! There is nothing better than homemade sides and desserts at a BBQ.

Bring your family's greatest recipe and enter your dish to win 1 FREE SEAT to DC. We will be giving away 1 FREE SEAT on our bus, for the 8/28 Restoring Honor Rally or 1 FREE SEAT for 9/12 March on Washington! YOU CHOOSE!

Denny Schaffer is emceeing the event.
Illegal immigration is at the top of everyone's mind. Come and listen to our Keynote Speaker, D.A. King, well known anti-illegal immigration activist, founder of the Dustin Inman Society. He will explain to us why this is so important, what is on the horizon and what WE CAN DO about it.

Music and entertainment is courtesy of Phillip Rogers. He will be playing patriotic music and entertaining us with his song and powerful voice.

That's not all -- after you have heard and talked to all the candidates, take part in a straw poll, just 10 days before the primaries.

ITS GOING TO BE A GREAT TIME -- RAIN OR SHINE!

Handel and Deal no shows. Gee. Surprise.

The most conservative, non-partisan, pro-America, pro-guns, anti-abortion, anti-socialism, pro-liberty group I know is having a BBQ. So, check the guest list and see who's not coming and that tells me all I want to know about that candidate.

It's not my place to decide this, but I think that any candidate that is not there in person, should not be allowed to put up signs anywhere near the event. Even if you guys agreed, I'm not sure you can legally enforce that, but I'm just saying. If you're not man enough( or WOMAN enough) to show up at a debate, you don't deserve to have your name show up.

I can't wait to see you guys again and hear what the folks running for office have to say. I hope we get some cloud cover that day! :)

We're really fired up about this event. Mary Spoke on 920 WGKA with Denny Schaffer last night. She did a great job promoing the event. I'll put the audio clip on the website as soon as Denny sends it to us. (hopefully this evening).

We've moved up the start time because we have alot to get to. Music & BBQ will begin at 3pm. Candidate questioning will still start at 4.

We've had a lot of feedback and expect to have a good crowd. Hope to see you there!

Thanks one more time for all the hard work and effort. This was the best event of the season hands down. I only regret that we were late getting there.

Rob I'm glad that you were able to make it to the event and that I got a chance to talk to you, though briefly. It was a great event, everyone seemed to have a good time, we couldn't have asked for a better turnout. I wish I would have had more time to listen to the candidates, but going to have to watch it on the replay. BTW Mary has been following up with the people at netnews that recorded it. they are in the process of uploading the footage and it should be available soon, stay tuned.

Also there is a great video from secular-stupidest that has some good shots of the crowds and a couple of the candidates. When I talked to keith who shot the video he said he was able to get about an 1.5 hrs of tape so hopefully he'll put out some more. I'm going to embed it on the site tomorrow hopefully but till then heres a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6EgsOwL7pQ
