April 15th 2010: DC or Atlanta??

Political Meetings, Rallys & Protests that Need Your Support

Where do you want to spend Tax Day, April 15th ??

I'd rather be in Atlanta for Tax day it was the largest Tea Party in the nation in 2009, It should be even bigger this year!

I'd consider going to DC for Tax day. If you want to get the governments attention, DC is the place to be!

April 15th 2010: DC or Atlanta??

Postby Whrlwnd13 » 16 Jan 2010 14:52

We're trying to get a feel if people want to go to DC or attend the rally at the GA State Capitol in Atlanta on Tax Day, April 15th.

Currently there is a rally scheduled for Atlanta though the DC plans are still up in the air.

If the decision is to go to DC we'd do our best to keep the trip affordable.

I'll be in the area for the restore the Constitution rally in No VA the 19th anyway, so I'd really like to try to make it to DC for the 15th.

Didn't vote-reasons didn't match.

I can only not afford (!) one DC trip this year. As a 912er it is all about 8/28 for me.

I voted Atlanta because we had so much fun last year. It will almost stand as an anniversary for us.

But going to DC would also be great. Now that I am working again, I can think about such things.

I voted Atlanta too. We sent 1/5 million to DC and although I feel it did have an impact, I believe that politicians seeing people riled up all over the country has more of an impact.
Besides that, even with you guys making it super-cheap to go, it would be cheaper to do it at home - and with the economy not getting any better....

Of course, I don't see why we can't be present at both places! :)

PS - maybe I'm an idiot ( don't answer that! :) ), but what happens on 8/28 ?

Owl, 8/28 is a Glenn Beck affair. From what I hear, he's going to unveil additional tactics that we can use to take back our country. Also, he has a new book coming out in August, which this event couldn't hurt (not that that's the reason for the event).

I've wondered why he couldn't join with us in our DC rally on 9/11 this year? I was afraid that the 8/28 event would divide patriots' attendance between that and the 9/11 gathering. Looks like it is. Too bad! I had hoped that we would have more people in Sept than last year. Now, I'm afraid we'll have less. Let's hope that I'm wrong.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info. It seems odd to me that he would start (or inspire, whatever) this 9-12 movement, and then the next year have something go down on a different day/month? I'm sure there's a reason behind it though. I'm not too worried about splitting up attendance. If this thing keeps growing, we may have 500,000 people protesting in DC every month in a year or two. ;)

thanks again
